General Information

Fusible link 182 °C (Buckeye FL-360-10) is the heat detector in the Buckeye Kitchen Mister kitchen fire suppression system. When the nominal rating of 182 °C is reached, the link separates and releases the tension in the detection cable, so the system is actuated automatically and mechanically – no power required.

The temperature rating is selected after measuring the temperature at the mounting location, so that normal cooking does not actuate the system. The link is installed in the detection cable by an authorised Buckeye installer in accordance with the BFR-TM technical manual.

The Buckeye manual requires all fusible links to be replaced at the service, which must be carried out at least every six months. After a discharge, new links are installed before the system is put back into service.

This sign is a double-sided plough (wing) design, mounted at a right angle to the wall so it is visible from both directions along a corridor, marking the location of a fire hose reel. It is photoluminescent (Class D, ISO 17398/16069), meaning it absorbs and stores light from normal room lighting and continues to glow in the dark if the power fails. At 200 x 200 mm, the sign gives a viewing distance of 20 metres. Floor stand for fire extinguishers lets you place the extinguisher standing on the floor where wall mounting is not possible or desirable – for example by glass walls, in open-plan premises, shops, warehouses, exhibitions and temporary events. The stand keeps the extinguisher stable and visible, and it can be lifted straight out when needed.

Place the stand where it does not obstruct escape routes or traffic, but where the extinguisher is easy to find and grab. Mark the location with a sign, and check the extinguisher during routine inspection.

Buckeye BFR-SCC-50 cable clamps hold the flexible cable sheath in place along the designed run of the Buckeye Kitchen Mister kitchen fire suppression system. The clamps are used with Buckeye Shielded Cable, for example BFR-SC-100, in the mechanical installation. The pack contains 50 clamps.

The clamps anchor the sheath so that it stays in place while the cable can still move freely. Location and number of fixings are adapted to the installation according to the Buckeye BFR-TM technical manual, and mounting and function testing are carried out by an authorised Buckeye installer.

Clamps, fixings and sheath are checked at the service, at least every six months, and loose or damaged clamps are put right.
