NT Deco waterborne translucent fire retardant for wood
General Information

Nordtreat NT Deco is a waterborne, translucent fire retardant used to treat solid wood panelling, cross-laminated timber, glued laminated timber and log walls, for both interior and exterior applications, while allowing the natural wood grain to remain visible in a range of colours. It can be applied industrially by brush-machine, vacuum-spray, flow-coater or Airmix spray, or manually by brush or spray, typically in 3-6 thin coats to reach the standard retention rate of 350 g/m². Wood treated with NT Deco achieves a B-s1, d0 reaction-to-fire classification under EN 13501-1 across a range of wood species and configurations, with full fire-retardant properties developing within two months of curing. NT Deco is M1, Indoor Air Comfort and LEED v4 certified, and meets BREEAM and A+ requirements for low-emission products.

The unit must always be refilled after activation. Refilling requires special equipment; return the unit to an authorised service workshop.
