Fire and Blast Bellows are flexible containment barriers designed to maintain fire and blast integrity around risers and hatches during offshore drilling and intervention operations. Manufactured from oil-resistant materials for harsh offshore environments, the bellows can be quickly installed and removed, flex with structural movement, and prevent the spread of contamination between deck levels. They are available in three configurations, drilling hatch, intervention hatch and weather bellow, and can be custom-fabricated to individual installation requirements. The bellows accommodate up to 900 mm of horizontal and 150 mm of vertical movement, for riser diameters from Ø 180 to Ø 600 mm, at pressures up to 1.4 barg, and are approved for 350 kW jet-fire exposure and tested against hydrocarbon fire scenarios.
