General Information

Fire hose BAS 19 mm × 30 m is a semi-rigid hose for fire hose reels. The hose keeps its shape even when not pressurised, so it can be run out and used immediately – even by one person.

The hose is checked along its full length at the annual inspection to EN 671-3 and replaced in case of cracks, kinks, leakage or ageing. After a hose change the reel is pressure tested before being put back into service.

The Firesafe Mod 1 is a freestanding fire hose reel measuring Ø600 x 175 mm, with red powder-coated side plates (RAL 3001). The AED tests the battery automatically and indicates when it needs replacing. Replace the battery when indicated or when expired, and dispose of used batteries as hazardous waste. Check the pads' expiry date at the same time.

Fusible link 232 °C (Buckeye FL-450-10) is the heat detector in the Buckeye Kitchen Mister kitchen fire suppression system. When the nominal rating of 232 °C is reached, the link separates and releases the tension in the detection cable, so the system is actuated automatically and mechanically – no power required.

The temperature rating is selected after measuring the temperature at the mounting location, so that normal cooking does not actuate the system. The link is installed in the detection cable by an authorised Buckeye installer in accordance with the BFR-TM technical manual.

The Buckeye manual requires all fusible links to be replaced at the service, which must be carried out at least every six months. After a discharge, new links are installed before the system is put back into service.
